Tambon Collaboration/ Good Relations Fostering Project

                    

       This is to promote the participation of the community in solving their own problems with the support from Tambon collaboration/good relation fostering teams to initiate projects/activities, and alternatives in solving the community's problems. The Southern Border Provinces Peace- Building Command will support the funding, which exceeds the community's capability. This is to realize good relationship and understanding among government officials, and the tambon-level people to solve their own problems by themselves with the support by the development unit (Collaboration/good relation fostering Team).

 Objectives

       The objective is for the people in the community to identify their needs to solve their own problems by arranging “Stage/Forum for people” consisting of the government officials together with local leaders to form the “ Tambon Collaboration/Good Relation Fostering Team” whose duty is to assist, coordinate, produce and publish documents as well as follow up budget and others.

 Targets

       To cover Tambon (sub-district) in the 3 southern-most provinces from 33 districts, totaling to 250 tambon.

 Preparation of personnel for “Tambon Collaboration/Good Relation Fostering Team”

       Tambon collaboration/Good Relation Fostering Team is a joint teamwork among government officials, local administrators, and community people to carry out activities of no less than 11 persons per Tambon. They will be appointed by the Governor and posted in 9 municipal areas and 241 non-municipal areas, 250 areas in total.

       An operational workshop was organized aiming to familiarize the team members and to increase knowledge for seven groups in Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat. Each workshop was held for 2 days and the total participants were 2,795.

       To publish and disseminate “Handbook to support the work of Tambon/Good Relation Fostering Team” to those present in the workshop and all relevant operation units as evidence of the coordination and accomplished work.
