วันคล้ายวันสถาปนา กรมทหารราบที่ 15 ครบรอบปีที่ 52

          วันที่ 17 กรฎาคม 2568 เวลา 10.20 น. ที่ กรมทหารราบที่ 15 ค่ายวชิราวุธ อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช พลโท ไพศาล หนูสังข์ แม่ทัพภาคที่ 4 เป็นประธานในพิธีทำบุญเนื่องในวันสถาปนา กรมทหารราบที่ 15 ครบรอบปีที่ 52 เพื่ออุทิศส่วนกุศลให้ดวงวิญญาณของกำลังพลผู้ล่วงลับ และเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลแก่หน่วย เสริมสร้างขวัญและกำลังใจแก่กำลังพลและครอบครัว โดยมี ผู้บังคับบัญชากองทัพภาคที่ 4 สมาคมแม่บ้านทหารบก สาขากรมทหารราบที่ 15 หน่วยขึ้นตรงในพื้นที่ อดีตผู้บังคับบัญชา รวมถึงหน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และประชาชนเข้าร่วมอย่างพร้อมเพรียง

          สำหรับประวัติหน่วย กรมทหารราบที่ 15 ได้จัดตั้งขึ้น ตามคำสั่ง กองทัพบก (เฉพาะ) ที่ 90/16 ลง 17 กรกฎาคม 2516 มีที่ตั้งในค่ายวชิราวุธ ตำบลปากพูน อำเภอเมือง จังหวัดนครศรีธรรมราช เกียรติประวัติที่สำคัญ จัดกำลังต่อสู้โจรจีนคอมมิวนิสต์มาลายา (จคม.) ที่เข้ามาตั้งฐานปฏิบัติการและเคลื่อนไหวอยู่แนวชายแดนไทยมาเลเซีย ซึ่งรัฐบาลไทยและมาเลเซียได้ปฏิบัติการทางทหารร่วมกันทั้งด้านการเมือง การทหาร และการเจรจา เพื่อปราบปรามโจรจีนคอมมิวนิสต์ จนนำไปสู่การลงนามในข้อตกลงเพื่อยุติสถานการณ์การต่อสู้เมื่อในวันที่ 2 ธันวาคม 2532 ณ อำเภอหาดใหญ่ จังหวัดสงขลา ถือเป็นการยุติบทบาทของโจรจีนคอมมิวนิสต์มาลายาตั้งแต่บัดนั้นเป็นต้นมา ปัจจุบันมี พันเอก สมคิด  คงแข็ง ดำรงตำแหน่งเป็น ผู้บังคับการกรมทหารราบที่ 15​

Hari Ulang Tahun Penubuhan Rejimen Infantri Ke-15 yang ke-52

          Pada 17 Julai 2025, jam 10.20 pagi, bertempat di Rejimen Infantri Ke-15, Kem Wachirawut, Daerah Mueang, Wilayah Nakhon Si Thammarat, Leftenan Jeneral Paisan Nu-Sang, Panglima Tentera Darat Wilayah Ke-4 telah mempengerusikan majlis keagamaan sempena Hari Ulang Tahun Penubuhan Rejimen Infantri Ke-15 yang ke-52. Majlis ini diadakan untuk menyedekahkan pahala kepada roh anggota yang telah gugur serta sebagai satu keberkatan dan semangat untuk anggota dan keluarga mereka. Turut hadir ialah pegawai atasan Tentera Darat Wilayah Ke-4, Persatuan Isteri Tentera Rejimen Infantri Ke-15, unit-unit berkaitan di kawasan, bekas pegawai pemerintah, serta agensi kerajaan, swasta, dan orang awam yang turut sama memeriahkan majlis ini.

          Sejarah Unit:

Rejimen Infantri Ke-15 ditubuhkan berdasarkan perintah khas Tentera Darat No. 90/16 bertarikh 17 Julai 1973 dan berpusat di Kem Wachirawut, Tambon Pak Phun, Daerah Mueang, Wilayah Nakhon Si Thammarat. Antara sejarah penting rejimen ini ialah penglibatannya dalam operasi ketenteraan menentang kumpulan Komunis Cina Malaya (KCM) yang telah menubuhkan markas dan menjalankan aktiviti di sepanjang sempadan Thailand-Malaysia. Kerajaan Thailand dan Malaysia telah melaksanakan kerjasama ketenteraan dan diplomatik bagi menangani ancaman ini, yang akhirnya membawa kepada pemeteraian perjanjian untuk menamatkan konflik pada 2 Disember 1989 di Daerah Hat Yai, Wilayah Songkhla. Perjanjian ini menandakan berakhirnya pergerakan Komunis Cina Malaya.

Kini, Rejimen Infantri Ke-15 dipimpin oleh Kolonel Somkid Khongkhaeng selaku Komander Rejimen.

52nd Anniversary of the Establishment of the 15th Infantry Regiment

          On July 17, 2025, at 10:20 AM, at the 15th Infantry Regiment, Wachirawut Camp, Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Lieutenant General Paisan Nusang, Commander of the 4th Army Region, presided over the merit-making ceremony held in honor of the 52nd anniversary of the establishment of the 15th Infantry Regiment. The ceremony aimed to dedicate merit to the spirits of fallen soldiers and to bring auspiciousness to the unit, while also boosting morale and unity among personnel and their families. Attendees included commanders from the 4th Army Region, members of the Army Wives Association (15th Infantry Regiment branch), subordinate units in the area, former commanders, representatives from government and private sectors, as well as members of the public.

           Unit Background:

The 15th Infantry Regiment was established by a special order of the Royal Thai Army (No. 90/16) dated July 17, 1973, and is located at Wachirawut Camp, Pak Phun Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. A notable historical achievement of the regiment was its involvement in combatting the Malayan Communist Party (MCP) insurgents, who had set up operations and conducted movements along the Thai-Malaysian border. The Thai and Malaysian governments collaborated militarily and politically—including through joint operations and negotiations—to suppress the MCP insurgents. This culminated in the signing of a peace agreement on December 2, 1989, in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, officially marking the end of the MCP’s activities in the region.

Currently, the regiment is under the command of Colonel Somkid Khongkhaeng.
