Juga sebagai platform untuk pilih atlet mewakili wilayah ke peringkat kebangsaan dan antarabangsa.<\/p>\n

Lebih dari itu, acara ini bertujuan untuk warisi, lestarikan dan sebarkan seni bela diri silat \u2013 warisan budaya tempatan \u2013 serta eratkan perpaduan dalam kalangan belia dan komuniti.<\/p>\n

Thailand menganjurkan pertandingan dari peringkat belia hingga ke peringkat negara, ikut peraturan Persekutuan Silat Antarabangsa.<\/p>\n

Ramai belia kita berlatih dan berjaya jadi atlet profesional, harumkan nama tempat dan negara.<\/p>\n

Oleh itu, agensi kerajaan patut terus sokong dan majukan seni bela diri ini agar kekal hidup.<\/p>\n

Lieutenant General Paisan Nusang, Commander of the 4th Army Region and Director of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4, presided over the opening ceremony of the 2025 Narathiwat Provincial Pencak Silat Championship.<\/p>\n

In attendance were Major General Narong Tantisitthipon, Commander of the Narathiwat Special Task Force; Mr. Thanawit Chaiyanuphong, Mayor of Narathiwat Municipality; representatives from the Royal Thai Marine Corps Special Task Force; heads of government agencies; representatives from the Provincial Sports Association; club committee members; local leaders; coaches; parents; and participating athletes. The ceremony was held in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Mr. Abdulloh Mali, President of the Narathiwat Pencak Silat Sports Club, stated that the competition, taking place from 9 to 11 August 2025, aims to promote and enhance the skills of Pencak Silat among youth and local residents. It also serves as a platform to select talented athletes to represent the province at national and international levels. Furthermore, the event plays a key role in preserving and promoting Pencak Silat as a cultural heritage of the local community, while fostering unity among youth and across communities.<\/p>\n

This year, a total of 548 male and female youth participants, aged 7\u201317 years, from educational institutions, communities, and local clubs are competing in two categories: Tanding (combat) and Seni (artistic performance). This reflects the growing popularity of Pencak Silat within the region.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Lieutenant General Paisan Nusang emphasized that Pencak Silat is a traditional martial art with deep historical roots in Thailand\u2019s southern border provinces and is recognized as a cultural heritage of the ASEAN community.<\/p>\n

Thailand has organized competitions ranging from youth to national levels in accordance with the rules of the International Pencak Silat Federation. Many young practitioners have gone on to become professional athletes, bringing pride to their local communities and the nation. He stressed that government agencies should continue to support and promote the sustainability of this martial art.<\/p>\n
