Hari ini (22 Mei 2025), jam 10.00 pagi di Unit Latihan Rekrut Baru, Batalion Wilayah Tentera Darat ke-42, Kem Sena Narong, Tambon Kho Hong, Daerah Hat Yai, Wilayah Songkhla \u2014 Mejar Jeneral Woradet Detraksa, Timbalan Panglima Tentera Wilayah Ke-4 \/ Timbalan Pengarah Keselamatan Dalam Negeri Wilayah 4 Bahagian Hadapan, telah membuat lawatan bagi memberi semangat kepada rekrut baru Tentera Darat. Rekrut ini kini sedang menjalani latihan asas bagi pengambilan pertama tahun 2568 (2025). Turut hadir menyambut ialah Kolonel Kudun Thongkham, Komander Batalion Wilayah Tentera Darat ke-42, bersama jurulatih dan pegawai.<\/p>\n

Rekrut baru tahun ini menunjukkan jumlah pengambilan secara sukarela yang melebihi sasaran tahun sebelumnya \u2014 mencerminkan kesedaran terhadap tanggungjawab dan minat terhadap kerjaya ketenteraan pada masa hadapan.<\/p>\n

Dalam ucapan beliau, Mejar Jeneral Woradet menyampaikan bahawa Panglima Tentera Darat dan pegawai atasan amat mengambil berat terhadap rekrut baru. Beliau menyeru agar setiap rekrut bersabar, giat belajar dan menyesuaikan diri dengan perubahan. Disebabkan rekrut datang daripada pelbagai latar belakang \u2014 dari pelbagai agama termasuk Buddha dan Islam \u2014 beliau menekankan pentingnya keharmonian dan perpaduan sebagai asas kepimpinan masa depan.<\/p>\n

Rekrut dilatih agar menjadi individu yang berdisiplin, sabar, berjiwa pemimpin dan mampu mengawal emosi dalam apa jua cabaran. Tentera Darat memberi jaminan bahawa mereka akan menjaga kebajikan rekrut baru sebaik mungkin. Jurulatih diibaratkan seperti guru yang perlu menyampaikan ilmu dengan berkesan, memperkukuh kekuatan fizikal dan mental rekrut melalui pemakanan, kebajikan, dan hak-hak mereka.<\/p>\n

Tentera juga akan menyokong pendidikan lanjutan dan membantu keluarga rekrut yang menghadapi masalah kesihatan atau ekonomi. Latihan akan disesuaikan mengikut potensi setiap individu untuk memberi peluang kepada mereka menyambung perkhidmatan sebagai anggota tentera tetap.<\/p>\n
Beliau juga menegaskan agar unit latihan mengambil langkah proaktif dalam memantau risiko kesihatan \u2014 termasuk penyakit berkaitan haba, wabak penyakit, dan kesihatan mental. Penilaian indeks haba di kawasan latihan dan asrama perlu dilakukan, serta pelan kecemasan dan pertolongan cemas mesti disediakan untuk menghadapi situasi kecemasan.<\/p>\n

Today (May 22, 2025) at 10:00 a.m., at the new recruit training unit of the 42nd Military Circle Battalion, Sena Narong Camp, Kho Hong Subdistrict, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province, Major General Woradet Detraksa, Deputy Commander of the 4th Army Region and Deputy Director of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 (Forward Command), visited and offered encouragement to the newest members of the Royal Thai Army. Currently, conscripts of the 1st batch of 2025 are undergoing their basic training.<\/p>\n

They were warmly welcomed by Colonel Kudun Thongkham, Commander of the 42nd Military Circle Battalion, along with trainers, instructors, and personnel. The unit reported that voluntary enlistments this year have exceeded last year’s target, reflecting an increased sense of duty and growing interest in a military career.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, Maj. Gen. Woradet conveyed that the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army and all levels of leadership are deeply concerned about the welfare of the new recruits. He offered words of encouragement, urging them to persevere, train diligently, learn, and adapt to new changes. Each recruit comes from diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and professions, forming a multicultural society of Buddhists and Muslims. He stressed the importance of unity and harmony to prepare them for leadership roles in the future\u2014developing qualities such as sacrifice, endurance, generosity, and emotional resilience in the face of challenges.<\/p>\n

He reaffirmed that the army is committed to providing the best care for the new recruits. Trainers and instructors are to be viewed as mentors and teachers, responsible for imparting knowledge and developing the recruits effectively. Training will aim to strengthen both body and mind through enhanced nutrition, welfare benefits, and educational support. Additionally, military units are tasked with visiting and assisting the families of recruits facing health or economic difficulties.<\/p>\n

The army will also nurture each recruit\u2019s individual talents to improve their chances of continuing military service in the future. Units are instructed to proactively monitor and prevent heat-related illnesses, epidemics, and mental health issues. They must assess heat index levels in training areas and sleeping quarters, and have emergency response and first aid plans ready to deal with urgent situations.<\/p>\n
