Pada 19 April 2025, di Komuniti Klong Nam Baeng, Kampung Kujam, Mukim Phraiwan, Daerah Tak Bai, Wilayah Narathiwat, satu pemandangan yang mungkin tidak dijangka telah berlaku \u2014 sebuah jengkaut besar milik tentera perlahan-lahan bergerak ke dalam saluran air cetek yang dahulunya merupakan laluan utama nelayan. Namun kali ini, ia bukan latihan atau operasi ketenteraan, tetapi satu misi untuk meringankan beban penduduk kampung yang tidak dapat membawa bot ke laut disebabkan saluran air yang semakin cetek.<\/p>\n

Setelah menerima laporan, Mejar Jeneral Narong telah segera mengarahkan Leftenan Kolonel Thapakorn Rang-in, Komander Batalion Jurutera Ke-15, bekerjasama dengan Yang Dipertua Majlis Pentadbiran Tempatan Mukim Phraiwan, Jabatan Pengairan Wilayah 17 dan ketua-ketua komuniti untuk merancang dan melaksanakan operasi segera. Dua jengkaut lengan panjang telah dikerahkan untuk menjalankan kerja-kerja mengorek dan mendalamkan saluran air agar bot nelayan boleh kembali ke laut seperti sediakala.<\/p>\n

On April 19, 2025, in the Khlong Nam Baeng community, Baan Kujam, Village No. 3, Phaiwan Subdistrict, Tak Bai District, Narathiwat Province \u2014 an unexpected scene unfolded. A massive military long-arm excavator slowly moved into a shallow canal that once served as a main waterway for local fishermen. This was not a training exercise or military operation, but a mission to ease the hardship of villagers who could no longer take their boats to sea due to the canal becoming too shallow.<\/p>\n

Major General Narong Tantisitthiporn, Commander of the 15th Infantry Division \/ Commander of the Narathiwat Special Task Force \/ Director of the Royal Initiative Coordination Center, personally visited the site after receiving reports from the local community. His goal was to assess the issue that directly affected the livelihoods of the local fishing families.<\/p>\n

Upon inspection, it was found that the once-vital waterway had severely silted up with sand sediment, making it difficult for boats to navigate. This situation disrupted local fishing operations, affected household incomes, and lowered the overall quality of life.<\/p>\n

After receiving the report, Major General Narong Tantisitthiporn ordered an immediate response. He tasked Lieutenant Colonel Thapakorn Rang-in, Commander of the 15th Engineer Battalion, 15th Infantry Division, to coordinate with the Phaiwan Subdistrict Administrative Organization, the Royal Irrigation Department Region 17, and community leaders. Together, they developed a plan and deployed two long-arm excavators to dredge the canal and restore the waterway, enabling villagers to once again take their fishing boats out to sea.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is another important mission that aligns with the Royal Thai Army\u2019s core policy. Every piece of military equipment we have was acquired through taxpayers’ money.
