Kejadian ini tidak mengakibatkan sebarang kecederaan atau kematian. Kemudian, Encik Jakra Phromkaew, Ketua Kampung Ko Khor bersama anggota pasukan keselamatan (Awam) Daerah Ko Khor telah pergi untuk memeriksa lokasi kejadian. Dalam perjalanan, penjenayah yang bersembunyi di tepi jalan telah meletupkan bom buatan sendiri dan menembak lagi menggunakan senjata api. Pasukan keselamatan bertindak balas dengan menembak sehingga penjenayah melarikan diri. Selepas kejadian berakhir, pihak berkuasa mendapati seorang anggota pasukan keselamatan terbunuh dan tiga lagi cedera. Mereka kemudian dihantar untuk rawatan di Hospital Ko Khor. Kemudian, anggota pasukan dari unit khusus Patani telah digerakkan ke lokasi kejadian. Penjenayah yang telah menunggu di kawasan berdekatan dengan tempat kejadian sekali lagi meletupkan bom dan menembak pasukan keselamatan. Akibatnya, tiga anggota pasukan keselamatan terbunuh dan dua lagi cedera. Selepas kejadian tamat, pihak berkuasa mengumpulkan bukti di tempat kejadian untuk membawa individu yang bersalah ke muka pengadilan.<\/p>\n

Tindakan tertuduh adalah satu perbuatan jenayah yang melanggar beberapa peruntukan undang-undang, dan dihukum dengan hukuman yang lebih berat. The actions of the defendant were considered a single criminal act violating multiple laws, thus the most severe penalty was imposed.
